Health and safety remain a top priority of the City of Pittsburgh. That’s why they created the PGH Commitment – an assurance from the Pittsburgh tourism and hospitality communities to their visitors and residents to deliver a gold standard in health and safety practices. It is a collection of numerous health and safety practices implemented throughout the Pittsburgh region. It follows the directives of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Health Departments and the City of Pittsburgh. Together with the City of Pittsburgh, we are committed to providing a safe experience for our attendees.
Regarding the International Elastomer Conference, Rubber Division, ACS will follow CDC and the city of Pittsburgh guidance pertaining to any COVID-19 health and safety protocols, rules or regulations. At this time, Pittsburgh, in compliance with updated guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), fully vaccinated individuals are permitted to resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing except where required by law, rule and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance. A masking requirement is still in place for unvaccinated individuals. Currently, neither Pennsylvania nor Rubber Division, ACS is requiring proof of vaccinations in lieu of wearing a mask. As things are consistently changing, we want to ensure that attendees have current and correct information prior to the conference opening. Therefore, we will provide more guidance on the mandates (if any) and the on-site policy to all registrants on Friday, October 1.
We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust accordingly should there be any changes to CDC or Pittsburgh health and safety guidelines. Learn more about Pittsburgh health and safety practices and commitment:
