Abstracts submitted by April 19, 2020 will be considered for inclusion in the Technical Program. Accepted entries will be notified in May 2020.


Presentations may cover all aspects of the science and technology of rubber and related elastomeric materials, including compounding, processing, analysis, equipment and production.

17th Annual Student Colloquium: The Colloquium is open to all Undergraduate and Graduate level students as well as co-op & internship participants. Colloquium participants may give either oral presentations or posters and all entries are eligible for financial awards. 

 Please be aware of the following:
  • Technical Paper Requirement: Rubber Division, ACS requires written Technical Papers ("manuscript") for all presentations - EXCEPT those in the New Commercial Developments Symposium and the Student Colloquium. Technical Papers are distributed to all full three-day registered attendees and made available for sale after the IEC.
  • Membership Requirement: For United States based speakers, American Chemical Society bylaws require that either the primary author or one co-author be a member of Rubber Division, ACS.
  • Best Paper Award: All presentations with accepted, properly formatted manuscripts will be entered in the Best Paper Award competition. Winners will be announced in early spring 2021 and the awards officially presented to authors at our 2021 International Elastomer Conference.
  • Complete the abstract submission procedure in this form.
  • You MUST Select STUDENT POSTER or STUDENT ORAL PRESENTATION as your abstract type to be eligible for Student Colloquium Awards.
  • DO NOT choose a symposium topic in the main Technical Program or your presentation will not be scheduled correctly.
