The NW Food Processors Expo and Conference is the place to be January 11-14, 2015! As the largest regional food manufacturing tradeshow in North America, Expo is sized to attract premier food processing industry experts and exhibitors. With approximately 4,000 attendees, 430 industrial exhibits and about 50 speakers, there will be plenty of time for education, networking and collaboration. If it’s important to you today, we’ll be explaining, discussing or demonstrating it.

This is my first time attending, what can I expect?

I have attended Expo before, what's new this year?
Each year the NW Food Processors Expo and Conference brings you up to date with industry trends, and provides you with current industry resources and information. New this year: a keynote by Jake Nichol of Leatherman Tools, a Mentoring Session, Welcome Reception with hundreds of attendees, Paula Marshall on a “Food Safety Culture,” and sessions devoted to Waste Water, Emerging Technology, Affordable Care Act update and so much more! The NW Food Processors Expo focuses on areas of critical importance to the industry including technical affairs, energy, sustainability, environmental affairs, food safety, government affairs, and business innovation. Who attends Expo? Is there an attendee list available?
Key food processing industry professionals from across the country and around the world attend Expo. This event attracts a diverse range of professionals including CEO’s, plant managers, purchasing managers, production and quality assurance managers, engineers, and sales/marketing managers as well as production mechanics. In recent years, approximately 4,000 people have attended. Paid exhibitors will have access to the attendee list 2 weeks prior to the event.
What networking opportunities will be available?
Expo 2015 will provide three days chock-full of networking opportunities. Key food processing industry professionals will gather to sample new products, research solutions, as well as compare, contrast and collaborate on concerns facing the industry. Networking lounges will be located in the Expo hall, in addition to 420 tradeshow booths whose staff will be eager to meet you and discuss their products. Attend the kick-off Welcome Reception Sunday, January 11, 2015 at the convention center as hundreds of attendees gather for hors d’oeuvres and cocktails.
Can I attend a single session or class without registering for the entire Expo?
By registering for Expo, you will have the opportunity to attend break-out sessions, educational workshops and hear keynote speakers – opportunities that are not available for individual purchase.
If you would like to solely participate in a certification courses (BRC, SQF, or RETA) or attend our co-located event (the Energy Summit), you do not need to register for Expo. You are able to register for these courses and events separately. Note a complimentary Expo Hall pass is included in registration for the certification courses and Summits.
How much does it cost to attend Expo?
The price to attend Expo varies according to your attendee type, membership with NWFPA and what activities you would like to attend. Any food processor can attend Expo for free, by obtaining a VIP Processor pass from an Exhibiting supplier. How may I obtain a VIP Processor Pass?
Exhibitors are able to provide VIP Processor Passes to processors. These passes grant free admission to the Expo; however, VIP Processor Passes are for the exclusive use of bona fide processors only. All passes will be reviewed and validated. To request a VIP Processor Pass, please reference our list of exhibitors at http://bit.ly/2015exhibitors and contact suppliers directly.
Are there discounted hotel rates available?
Travel Portland is the official housing bureau for the Expo 2015. Hotel room blocks have been negotiated along with discounted rates, parking and complimentary Internet. Properties offer a range of costs/services and are conveniently located near the Expo location. For further information, see https://aws.passkey.com/g/28123364.
Travel Portland may also assist in arranging for hospitality suites. Note that they do not make outbound calls, and companies who claim to represent NWFPA housing are credit card phishing scams.
When does Expo registration close? Can I register by fax or mail?
Online registration does not close. We are unable to accept registrations via fax or mail; however, if you would like assistance using the online system, please contact email@example.com or 503-327-2200.
I would like to pay by check – is that possible?
Absolutely! During the online registration process, there will be an opportunity to identify your preferred payment type. Simply indicate you will be paying by check and then mail your payment to NWFPA.

Are speaking opportunities still available?
We appreciate your interest in supporting Expo! Unfortunately, all of our speaker positions for this year have filled; our annual call for presenters goes out in July. When can exhibitor’s set-up?
The Expo hall will be accessible for exhibitors to set-up booths January 10-11, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking passes may be purchases online, and are available for regular and oversized vehicles at a flat fee of $80, are valid Saturday – Wednesday and offer in and out privileges. Smaller vehicles are able to park in the OCC parking garage, where the rate is $10 per entrance.
