CPE Sessions

CPE sessions are designed to help individual NABA members upgrade their technical knowledge and skills or engage in an area of professional development based on their need for growth and fulfillment. 

CPE sessions are presented in coordination with corporate sponsors, who generally have first right of refusal to present sessions based on their corporate expertise and resources. Sponsored sessions feature presenters and content provided by the sponsor based on guidelines provided by NABA to ensure their compliance with National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) requirements. To ensure sessions are provided in areas in which members have interest but sponsors do not have expertise, sponsored sessions are accented with sessions developed by NABA in coordination with the Business Leadership Institute (BLI), which allows the convention to a holistic range of programming to engage members at every career level. 

NABA provides recommendations to sponsors to help them provide the type of session which meets the needs and interests of NABA members. These recommendations are based on contemporary topics being discussed in the accounting and finance field (hot topics), along with standard topics which need to be offered at every convention. 

CPE sessions are traditionally organized in tracks, each of which correspond to a NASBA recognized field of study. This year, an additional track has been added to address increasing member interest in entrepreneurship, which corresponds to the business management and operations field of study, which is also recognized by NASBA.
