Attendee FAQ


MSA FORWARD is taking place at the Los Angeles Convention Center located at 1201 S. Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015. 

All education sessions, ticketed workshops, and the Expo Hall are located in the convention center.


The educational excursions will be held off-site.  On Monday, May 5 and Friday, May 9. All excursions will depart from the convention center.

The MSA NEXT Party will be offsite at Hertiage Square, Monday, May 5 for those who identify as a young, emerging or new to the museum store profession.

The other networking parties (MSA Awards Luncheon and the Closing Happy Hour and Silent Auction) take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center.


WHAT'S INCLUDED IN YOUR MSA FORWARD REGISTRATION?

  • Access to over 20 Educational Sessions including Chapter Meetings and Buyer Roundtables
  • MSA networking events including the MSA NEXT Party*, MSA Party, Awards luncheon, Newcomer’s Orientation, and the Expo Hall Happy Hour & Silent Auction

*small fee for non-NEXT members and exhibitors to attend NEXT Party

Additional fees apply to educational excursion tickets and Boot Camp Workshop.

Guest tickets are available for the Welcome Session/Breakfast,  Friday Breakfast, MSA Party, MSA Award Luncheon, and Excursions.

All events with meals (paid and free meals) will require a ticket.  Please make your selection during the registration process.  Tickets will be printed out with your badge.


Meals included in your MSA registration:

  • Grab and Sit Breakfast on Tuesday (as part of the chapter meetings)
  • Lunch on Tuesday (as part of the MSA Awards Luncheon)
  • Breakfast on Wednesday (as part of the General Session & Grab-and-Sit Breakfast)
  • Grab-and-go lunches in the Expo Hall on Wednesday and Thursday (lunch tickets required and included in your MSA registration) – If you forgot to reserve your lunch tickets during reservation, you can print them out at the MSA Registration Desk.

Food and drink included at MSA networking parties:

  • MSA Party (Wednesday Night) Beer and Wine Bar and Hors d'oeurves
  • Closing Happy Hour Thursday (Bars open at noon): Cash Bar (opens at 12:00 pm) and Hors d'oeuvres.
  • Awards Luncheon(Tuesday, May 6)
  • MSA NEXT Party for emerging professionals and industry newcomers (Monday, May 5): Beer and Wine bar and hors d’oeuvres


Most non-ticketed education sessions will be recorded. MSA FORWARD registered attendees will have free access the recordings for 90 days after the conference. After 90 days, the recordings will be available for purchase on the MSA website (members receive a reduced rate).


These two events are being held in the same convention center, and registered attendees of either conference are welcome to visit both MSA and AAM booths in the shared Expo Hall space.

MSA FORWARD registered attendees may also attend the AAM General Session and keynote presentations at no added cost.


Cancelations must be received in writing by April 12, 2024, to events@museumstoreassociation.org, and are subject to a $100 cancelation fee.

Your registration may be transferred to a member of your organization up to 5 days before the event when requested in writing. No refunds will be issued after April 12, 2024.
