Getting from the airport to the Convention Center/main hotel area
The Denver airport is one of the largest in the nation – here are some tips to help you navigate it:

  • BY Train / RTDFrom Baggage Claim level 5 - Follow signs to the Transit Center/Westin entrance in the airport (under large American Flag) – go down a very long escalator 5 flights to the platform. Get your RTD ticket at the kiosk ($10.50). (You can also download the RTD app https://www.rtd-denver.com/fares-passes/mobile-ticketing & purchase your ticket, plan your route, see timetables, and more.) Once you have your ticket, take the A line to Downtown Union Station – 6 stops/about 32 minutes. From Union Station you take the free 16th street mall shuttle- ½ block to the right of Union Station – walk to 16th & Wynkoop intersection & hop on the FREE MALL RIDE towards Civic Center to Stout Street or California Street depending on your hotel (9-11 stops), then walk a few blocks to the hotel. Total trip is 1 hour. (Alternatively, you can put your hotel destination into Google Maps and choose the train icon - this will give you walking directions including train times.)

  • Uber/Lyft From Airport - You will be asked to choose which terminal you are coming from; East (Southwest baggage claim is on East side for example) or West and door number (the airport exit doors have circles with numbers in them on the door). Follow the signs for ground transportation then exit the terminal through doors 506-510 (west side) and 507-511 (east side) on Level 5 near baggage claim and proceed to Island 5 to meet your driver. Customers using a ride app service may only be picked up in the designated area of Level 5.
Driving: Be aware that almost all Downtown hotels charge a high premium for parking overnight.
  • Taxis and CabsA cab or taxi can put you in the heart of the city in about 25 minutes. You’ll find taxis at Level 5, Island 1, outside Door 507 (east side) and Door 510 (west side). Flat rates are the same for all companies.
