Claudia P. Angel, Postal Inspector Program Manager U.S. Postal Inspection Service Postal Inspector, Claudia Angel currently serves as Program Manager at the US Postal Inspection Service National Headquarters in Washington, DC. Inspector Angel oversees the Cybercrime Digital Product Security program in evaluating and recommending security controls, prevention, monitoring, detection and reporting for new/modified digital products developed or supported by the U.S. Postal Service. Prior to relocating to National Headquarters, Inspector Angel was the Team Leader for the Mail Theft/Violent Crimes Team in South Florida. She had oversight of Criminal investigations and administrative matters related to mail theft, identity theft, and violent crimes to include robberies, burglaries and Work Place Violence in the South Florida Miami Dade, Broward and Monroe counties. Prior to her appointment as Team Leader, Inspector Angel conducted complex Mail Fraud investigations for the Miami Division and numerous Mail Theft, Identity Theft and Violent Crimes investigations for the Newark Division. Angel has been was appointed to the position of United States Postal Inspector for the United States Postal Inspection Service in August 2001 where she was assigned to the San Juan Field Office of the Newark Division and dedicated the first 10 years of her career conducting investigations throughout Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. Inspector Angel is a member of the International Association of Financial Crime Investigators (IAFCI), Hispanic American Police Command Officers Association (HAPCOA) and Merchant Risk Council (MRC) and serves on the MRC Law Enforcement Board. Inspector Angel holds a Bachelor of Art’s degree in Communications from Kean University in New Jersey. Inspector Angel is proud to be a part of one of our country’s oldest federal law enforcement agencies. As the primary law enforcement arm of the United States Postal Service, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service is a highly specialized, professional organization performing investigative and security functions essential to a stable and sound postal system. |
