Thank you for your interest in becoming a Fellow for the 2027 Fellows in Leadership Program! Through this program, you will gain the skills, confidence, and support to enact true change to impact your real-world challenges.
2026-2027 Program Dates and Locations:
September 29 - October 1, 2026 (LeadingAge PA Office)
December 7-8, 2026 (LeadingAge PA Office)
February 2-3, 2027 (Foxdale Village)
April 6-7, 2027 (Cornwall Manor)
May 17, 2027 (Graduation at LeadingAge PA Annual Conference*)
*Each Fellow will receive a complimentary 1 Day registration for the LeadingAge PA Annual Conference
APPLICATION GUIDELINES
Submission Requirements
Please complete the application by 11:59 p.m. on July 8, 2026. Applications that fail to meet all guidelines or are incomplete cannot be considered for review.
Eligibility
The Fellows in Leadership program is available to anyone who works for a LeadingAge PA member, who is currently supervising at least one direct report.
Evaluation Criteria
All application submissions will be reviewed to ultimately assemble a class diverse in life experience, leadership roles, geography, type of organization, and other unique characteristics. A committee of LeadingAge PA member leaders and association staff will evaluate applications based on:
- How well defined, insightful, and introspective is the leadership essay?
- How well does the applicant demonstrate a commitment to the field of aging services?
- To what extent does the applicant possess the leadership capacity needed to become a transformational leader?
Acceptance Notification
Applicants will receive notification of their acceptance status by the end of August 2026.

- Leadership Essays- LeadingAge PA is committed to the responsible, ethical, and transparent usage of AI technologies in our operations. We request that submissions be created without the use of AI for content generation and that AI be used solely for refining purposes. Submissions with minimal AI involvement may receive preferential consideration.
- Describe a situation where you demonstrated leadership. What actions did you take, and what was the result for your team, organization, or community?
- What are you most looking forward to learning or experiencing in this program, and how will it help you make a greater impact in your work?
- What inspired your commitment to the aging services field? Share an experience, value, or story that has shaped your dedication to this work?
- If you could drive one meaningful change in aging services in the next 5 years, what would it be and why?
- Sponsoring Organization Agreement Form
- Agreement of Commitment form must be completed by the President, CEO, Executive Director, or Administrator (where appropriate) of the applicant's organization. If the applicant is the highest-ranking executive officer, the organization's Board Chair must complete the form.
- Letters of Reference
- Applicants are required to submit two letters of reference.

- Ron Barth Fellows in Leadership Scholarship: LeadingAge PA will award a full scholarship to one applicant for the Fellows in Leadership program. To be considered, applicants must submit a Statement of Need as part of their application materials.
