LeadingAge PA is pleased to present the 2019 Fall Finance Conference held on November 12-13 in the West and November 19-20 in the East!  

The Fall Finance Conference showcases a variety of forward-thinking ideas centering on innovations in senior care and services, financial operations, reimbursement issues, current and emerging trends, opportunities to use technology, and updates on the current and future regulatory environment. 

LeadingAge PA will offer a broad array of presentations on the current senior care and services environment both in Pennsylvania and nationally, providing CEOs, CFOs, COOs, board members, and other key members of the executive team concerned with the long-term vision of their organizations with the information and innovative ideas necessary to position their organizations successfully in the rapidly evolving marketplace.
Plus, attendees can earn 10.6 CPA education credits and/or 9.0 NHA/PCHA education credits! 

LeadingAge PA—an association of not-for-profit senior services—is the state’s largest trade association representing non-profit, fraternal, religious and government-sponsored providers of housing and health-related service options to Pennsylvania’s elderly. Our 340+ members serve more than 75,000 persons in facility-based settings and tens of thousands more in their homes or other community settings.


Conference Audience
The conference audience is comprised of CFOs, middle/senior managers and other financial professionals of non-profit organizations providing services and housing to older adults.

LeadingAge PA is searching for the “best of the best” presenters to engage attendees in conversations around innovative trends, issues and solutions in relationship to finance for the long-term care industry.  

The following topics are being sought by the taskforce:

  • Cyber Security – topic may include best practices, network security, Cloud security issues
  • Best practices for a strong collaboration between the CFO and Board of Directors
  • PDPM – financial impact on a community
  • Workforce – topic may include recruitment costs, compensation, best practice for retention
  • Navigating the process of credentialing employees
  • Data Analytics
  • Legal Updates
  • Financing
  • A & A Update
  • Value Based Purchasing (VBP), ACO, Provider of Choice
  • Other Financial Related Topics 

Submission Requirements
Submissions that are incomplete or fail to meet the following guidelines will not be considered for review:

  • All proposals must be submitted by the date of September 6, 2019.
  • Late submissions cannot be considered for review. No extensions can be granted.
  • Content and speaker changes will not be accepted once a proposal has been submitted.
  • You MUST agree to speak at both the East and West locations.

In order to develop a high-quality, well-balanced education program, LeadingAge PA reserves the right to limit the number of sessions an organization may provide to no more than three sessions.

Evaluation Criteria
A peer review education task force of LeadingAge PA members, experts in the field and association staff will review submissions using the following evaluation criteria. Priority will be even to presentations that have not been given previously. 

  • Timeliness and relevance of topic to aging services.
  • Practical and replicable applicability of concepts for aging services providers.
  • Clarity and depth of session content and education methods that enhance the learning experience.
  • Qualifications, expertise and experience level of speakers.
