"STRATEGIC INFECTION CONTROL: A ROADMAP FOR NURSING HOME EXCELLENCE" WITH JENNIFER BROWN, BSN, RN
THURSDAY, MAY 9 | 8:30 AM – 10:45 AM

One of the key focuses of the session is the performance of annual infection control risk assessments. Administrators learn how to conduct comprehensive audits to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities within their facilities. Through interactive exercises, participants gain practical experience in assessing the effectiveness of current infection control practices and recognizing areas for improvement.

The session delves into key areas of the infection control program such as outbreak response planning, staff training, and environmental cleaning and disinfection, providing administrators with a well-rounded understanding of infection prevention. Participants learn about their role in antibiotic stewardship, surveillance and monitoring, and the importance of resident and family education in fostering a collaborative approach to infection control.
