2026 Annual Conference Attendee and/or Presenter Terms and Conditions

Content Presented at CCSS Conferences:

Participants are reminded not to present any information that may be considered proprietary, confidential or restricted.
Registration Fees:

ALL conference participants must register and pay the advertised fee including presenters, co-presenters, sponsors, exhibitors and general attendees.

Registration is confirmed only after full payment has been received.

CCSS reserves the right to deny access to conference sessions or events if payment has not been completed.
Student Registration Fees:

Student registration rates are only available to currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students.
Payment Method:

Individuals with incomplete registrations will not be able to attend the conference until payment has been made and registration is completed.

CCSS accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, checks and purchase orders (Invoices will be emailed at time of registration and payment is expected in a timely manner).
Cancellations, Refunds, and Substitutions

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to info@ccss.org.

Refunds will be processed as follows:
-
100% refund (minus $25 processing fee) if canceled by 12/20/25
-
50% refund if canceled between 12/21/25 - 1/31/26
-
No refunds after 2/1/26

Substitutions of attendees from the same organization are allowed at no additional charge by notifying and approval from info@ccss.org in advance.

If the event is canceled, conference attendees will be returned the registration fee only. Any fees associated with cancellation of travel or housing reservations is the exclusive responsibility of Conference attendees.
Presenter Policy

All presenters for each presentation must be registered for the conference.
Photographs/Video/Audio Recordings

Participants are reminded that material presented at CCSS conferences is the intellectual property of the presenter. Participants are prohibited from recording presentations in part or their entirety with the intent to distribute to others and without the permission of the presenter.
- The use of any recording device, including smart phones, and cameras, should be limited to recording snapshots or snippets for personal use, such as taking snapshots of the conference venue to support CCSS’s efforts to convey the excitement of the event through posting on social media.
Professional Standards:

CCSS is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants.

Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

Attendees are expected to act professionally and courteously in all conference spaces (in-person and virtual).

CCSS reserves the right to remove any individual violating these standards without refund.

See CCSS Code of Conduct, which by one’s attendance all who participate in the conference are also committing to upholding.

Limitation of Liability:

Attendees agree to release and hold harmless CCSS, a nonprofit education-related organization, from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action arising out of or relating to your participation in this event, including but not limited to proprietary infringements, harassment or other misbehavior of a conference attendee, any injuries sustained or alleged, or any property damage.

Opinions expressed by presenters do not necessarily reflect the views of CCSS.
Privacy and Communications:

CCSS collects basic contact and registration information for event management purposes.

Your information may be used to provide conference updates, membership opportunities, or related communications from CCSS or its conference sponsors.

CCSS does not sell attendee information to third parties.
Program Changes

CCSS reserves the right to make adjustments to the conference schedule, sessions, presenters, or format as needed without prior notice.
Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved within California’s jurisdiction.
Agreement

By completing your registration and/or attending the CCSS Annual Conference, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions and the CCSS Code of Conduct.
