Convention Registration

The 2012 ASNE convention will be held concurrently in the same hotel with the Newspaper Association of America, but each group will organize separate programs. We'll come together for a few sessions, including lunches and social events like a Freedom Forum-hosted reception at the Newseum, but most of the time each group will be on its own.

Due to a larger-than-expected demand, tickets to the lunches on Tuesday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 3 are no longer being sold.

If you would like to be placed on a wait list to purchase tickets, in case they become available, please contact Rachel Longino at asne@asne.org.

Security permitting, there will be a seating area set up in the balcony section of the ballroom where ASNE registrants without lunch tickets will be able to watch the luncheon speakers. Lunch will not be served in that section of the ballroom.


PLEASE READ: When you click the "online" link above, it will take you to a registration system operated by NAA. Because the system is designed with NAA members in mind, you may find it a little confusing at first. So here are a few tips that will help you navigate the process:

 

• Ignore everything on the first page and just click the "Create an Account" button. (Please use your work email and not a personal account. If the registration is being processed by a third-party -- such as an assistant -- use the email address of the person who is being registered to attend the convention.)

• If the system recognizes your email, click "forgot password." (If the system doesn't recognize your email, simply complete the registration form that you see at this point.)

• At this point, you will be asked to enter your email address again. Go ahead and do that.

• You will receive an email message with a link. Click on the link, which will take you to a "change my password/forgot my password" page.

• On that page, select a password and follow the prompts.

• After you've selected a password, you will see a log-in page. Go ahead and log-in using your email and new password.

• At this point you should see an event registration page. The fields will be populated with your personal and company information. Just follow the prompts and you should be able to conclude the registration successfully.

Please also note that the system will not allow you to register a spouse online. To do that, you will need to complete a separate PDF registration and return it to NAA.

Cancellation Policy:

All cancellations and refunds must be received in writing by March 11, 2012. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations made after this date or for no-shows.

Refunds will be issued within 45 business days after the convention, and a $100.00 processing fee will be deducted.

Substitutions from the same news organization will be accepted in writing without penalty. Written requests for cancellations and substitutions may be sent to registrar@naa.org or to mediaXchange Registrar, 4401 Wilson Blvd. Ste 900, Arlington, VA 22203.
