Press Procedures/Credentials

ASNE press badges are required for admission to all convention events and are issued to full-time journalists covering the press as a beat and to people who are assigned to cover a particular aspect of the convention. ASNE reserves the right to refuse credentials. One of the following identifications is needed to obtain convention press credentials:

• Regular press credentials for journalism trade press or full-time media reporters.
• A letter, on company stationery, from a top editor or news director at a recognized journalistic organization assigning a journalist to cover the ASNE program. Note: It could take several hours to obtain credentials with this type of identification.
• ASNE Convention is being conducted concurrent with NAA mediaXchange 2012.  Joint sessions including the Tuesday and Wednesday ticketed luncheon will require NAA press credentials.  For information, please see link to NAA press page.

How to register

Journalists may register in advance or onsite by completing a registration form (PDF) and providing it to Cristal Williams Chancellor, director of public relations and special projects, at cwilliams@asne.org or in the ASNE Convention registration area at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. Bring a photo identification and your credentials to the ASNE registration desk when picking up your name badge.

The ASNE press name badge will provide access to meetings, meal functions and other convention events. Meals must be purchased separately.
